What is Multi-Source Feedback?
MSF — sometimes called 360° feedback — is a mandatory component of GMC revalidation for all licensed UK doctors. It collects structured views from both patients and professional colleagues about how you practise medicine.
GMC requirement
Every doctor licensed to practise in the UK must complete MSF as part of their five-year revalidation cycle. Your responsible officer uses it to make a positive recommendation to the GMC.
Two feedback streams
Patient feedback covers communication, dignity and accessibility. Colleague feedback covers clinical knowledge, team-working, leadership and professional conduct.

Book and pay online
Complete the short booking form and pay £150 by card. You receive a confirmation email immediately with your unique portal link and patient feedback URL. Save this email — it is the only way to access your personal dashboard. There is no separate login page and no password to remember.
Share the patient feedback link
Your portal gives you a link to share with patients and carers — via waiting room QR code or a card at reception. Patients fill in a short anonymous form.
Invite colleagues from your portal
Log into your secure portal and add colleagues by name and email. Preferably use their organisational address for UK and overseas doctors. We send personalised invitations on your behalf.
Complete your self-assessment
Before you can view any aggregated scores, you complete a brief self-assessment rating yourself on the same domains as patient and colleague feedback. This ensures your honest reflection is recorded before you see others' scores.
Track response counts
Your portal dashboard shows patient and colleague response counts as they come in. You will be notified by email when both thresholds are reached.
Complete your reflections
Once 25 patient and 15 colleague responses are in, you complete two short written reflections in your portal — one for each feedback stream. These become part of your appraisal evidence.

How do I log in to my MSF portal?
There is no separate login page or password. After booking, you receive a confirmation email containing your unique personal portal link. Click that link at any time to access your dashboard, share feedback links, invite colleagues, track responses, and download your reports. If you cannot find the email, check your spam folder or contact us at [email protected] with your name and GMC number.
Is this accepted by the GMC and my responsible officer?
Yes. The feedback domains, question sets and response thresholds align with GMC's Good Medical Practice framework and Supporting Information guidance. The PDF reports are designed to be submitted directly to your RO as MSF evidence at your annual appraisal.
What if I don't reach 25 patient or 15 colleague responses in 90 days?
Contact us before your window closes. We can discuss your situation and options on a case-by-case basis. The key is to start collecting responses early — the portal makes this straightforward.
Can patients complete the form on their mobile?
Yes. The patient feedback form is fully mobile-optimised. You can share the link by text, QR code, or email. It takes around five minutes to complete and requires no login or account.
How do I invite colleagues?
From your secure portal, you add each colleague's name, email address, and their relationship to you (clinical colleague, team member, line manager, etc). The system sends them a personalised invitation with their own unique feedback link. You can track responses in your portal.
Is my data — and my patients' data — handled securely?
All data is stored in Cloudflare's UK/EU infrastructure. Patient responses are anonymous and not linkable to individuals. We hold a current ICO registration (ZC178340) and operate under UK GDPR. Data is retained for five years in line with NHS revalidation requirements. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.
What happens if a colleague email bounces?
You will be notified by email and can update the colleague's address in your portal and resend their invitation.
How quickly will my reports be ready?
As soon as both thresholds are met and you have completed your self-assessment and two written reflections, your reports are generated immediately. Most doctors receive their reports within 3–8 weeks of opening their window, depending on how quickly they collect responses.
